Long after the gold rush
On this day in 1896, gold was first discovered in the Klondike in Canada. It is estimated that about 100,000 prospectors traveled to the region between 1896 and 1899; although some did profit from the pilgrimage, for the majority, their venture proved fruitless.
Gold is one of the most sought-after metals there is, and they say that if you combined all of the pure gold in the world, it would equate to a cube just 20m wide. However, did you know that a gold roller blind is also one of our most sought-after products?
Gold roller blinds ooze class and prosperity, and we can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t like to have these traits associated with their decor. That’s why we’ve picked out just a few of our fabulous gold fabrics to showcase in this article. Fortunately, you don’t have to travel to Canada to mine our endless supply of gold!
